Organic Cultivation Expert
Rhizo Rich is an extremely talented and passionate cannabis cultivator, who holds a specific emphasis on organic gardening, and educating home growers. After growing cannabis for about 12 years synthetically, Rich tried his hand at regenerative gardening for his cannabis, and hasn’t looked back since. He’s dedicated himself to growing the best organic cannabis possible, and helping others do the same. In 2019 Rhizo Rich launched Illinois Cannabis Consulting to help educate and empower growers from the midwest and beyond. Rich works hard every day to ensure that the new growers of the world have an accurate source of information that they can rely on, through his podcast appearances and his consultation work!
Marybeth started life as a farmer’s daughter, immersed in agriculture & with a great interest in plants in general. She studied horticultural & agriculture independently for most of her life. An experienced homegrower of a variety of crops, she currently manages a local nursery in the Emerald Triangle.
Marybeth regularly advises cannabis growers of all levels of practice, from small home growers to commercial operations, with over 10 years of cannabis industry immersion. From IPM to microbial studies and regenerative agriculture science, Marybeth has expertise in just about every “field” in the world of natural farming!
Dr. MJ Coco
Cultivation Science Officer
Dr. MJ Coco is a professor of anthropology. He does academic research in peasant communities where he’s lived and worked with farmers for years. He has graduate level training and has taught university courses in horticulture.
His speciality is growing cannabis in coco coir and perlite. When he starting growing in coco he did extensive research and found the information available to be contradictory and misinformed. He expanded his research into scientific sources to understand the chemistry and biology of soil-less horticulture.
